As human beings, our greatness lays not so much in being able to remake the world – that is the myth of the atomic age – as in being able to remake ourselves.
Ask yourself whether the dream of heaven and greatness should be waiting for us in our graves – or whether it should be ours here and now and on this earth.
At KTSU, we are not afraid of greatness: some are born great, some achieve greatness, and some have greatness thrust upon them. We believe that it is you the listener who makes us great. It is because of you each and every day that we are able to turn the mirror upon ourselves and say “how can we serve the public better?”. Few will have the greatness to bend history itself; but each of us together as a community can work to change a small portion of events, and in the total; of all those acts will be written the history of this great station. Let us consider the nature of true greatness in men. The people who can catch hold of men minds and feelings and inspire them to do things bigger than themselves are the people who make a difference . . . those who stir feelings and imagination and make men struggle toward perfection, and KTSU Listeners we are here to say that this is you. So on this 40th birthday celebration year we count our stations life by smiles & impact in the community, not by our tears & failures. We count our age by our friends, volunteers, and employees come & gone, not the years. We thank you for 40 years of service and we look forward to 40 more. Thank You and God Bless…Keep Listening!
